Do you take insurance?

I do not accept insurance plans directly. Depending on your insurance plan, I can provide you with a monthly superbill for services rendered that you can submit directly to your insurance for partial reimbursement. Prior to beginning therapy, please contact your insurance company to determine your reimbursement rates for behavioral health services by an “out of network” provider. Please note that insurance companies require a mental health diagnosis in order to qualify for reimbursement.

Do you offer a free phone consultation session?

Yes! Please feel free to contact me to schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation. This will also give us both a sense if we might be the right fit. If I can’t accommodate you for any reason, I will do my best to provide you with referrals.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 48 hour notice for session cancellations. If I receive less than 48 hours notice, you will be charged for the missed session.

What kind of appointments do you offer?

I offer both virtual counseling and in-person counseling with an office in Pasadena. Please discuss your preferences with me directly. I also offer therapeutic services in Spanish. También ofrezco servicios en español.

What is inner child work?

Inner child healing involves reconnecting with the younger parts of ourselves that may have experienced unmet needs, emotional wounds, or trauma. By acknowledging and nurturing these parts with care and curiosity, we can begin to release long-held patterns, build emotional resilience, and foster a more compassionate relationship with ourselves

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I reserve slots in my schedule for sliding scale services for clients in need. Feel free to inquire with me directly as finances should not be a deterrent to seeking therapy.

What is Brainspotting?

Similar to EMDR, Brainspotting works as a somatic modality that assists clients in releasing stored trauma from the body. The therapist utilizes eye gaze points in conjunction with somatic awareness as a bottom up approach to addressing trauma. Brainspotting is best utilized with clients to treat various aspects of self such as trauma, PTSD, grief, depression, anxiety, and more. Brainspotting works beautifully in conjunction with parts-work.
